The Romanian Wine Nikolaos Rose 2021 comes from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, grown on the sunny hills of Dobrogea, Romania, near the Histria fortress.

Riped under the rays of the Dobrogea sun and caressed by the Black Sea breeze, the grapes were harvested and sorted by hand.

Nikolaos Rose wine was obtained by using spontaneous flora (wild yeasts developed by grapes) in fermentation and has a clear pale pink appearance, the colour of the petals of sweet roses.

It is a complex olfactory wine, fresh, light, in which the aroma of red fruits predominates, a very well balanced wine.

This wine won Vinarium Gold Medal 2022- The VINARIUM International Wine Contest judges are internationally rated professionals, with a solid status, university professors, doctors of enology, specialized journalists, communicators, WSET Diploma or Master of Wine.

' Intense nose with a light herbal twist, it shows opulent fruit such as strawberry, apricot, melon, some green guava, a creamy touch. Dry with a ripe, almost off- dryish feeling despite less than 1g/l of residual sugar, it has a soft acidity while keeping fresh. Its rich and generous alcohol brings weight and layers of texture, enhancing its spicy nerve. Fleshy core with vine peach, creamy strawberries and a nice, leesy, rounded up mouthfeel, it is long, spicy, with liquorice finish.' (Julia Scavo)
