De Histria Red Wine, a blend between Feteasca Neagra and Cabernet Sauvignon, a Romanian Wine that has a ruby red appearance, with violet accents.
It stands out for the complex smell of black currants and cherries enriched with woody notes.
The taste is strong, of black cherries and blackberries, with high tannins. The wine can be consumed now, but it also has the potential to age for another 5-6 years in the bottle, to enrich and refine its bouquet.
Grape variety: Feteasca Neagra (73%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (27%)
Recommended dishes: Grilled pork, grilled lamb, red meat on the stove, salty telemea, black bread, smoked cheese.
Serving temperature: 16° - 18°C
Alcohol: 14.9% | |
Type: DRY |
Deep cherry scent, very good depth and solid yet silky tannins. A pleasure with slow cooked lamb. Leave to decant a bit first.
Black fruit, dried fruit, raisins, black cherry, plum, dark chocolate, clove on the nose, at medium intensity. Dry, with high alcohol, medium acidity. Long spicy and bitter finish.
Medium priced, but its worth the money. You can't find something like this in a supermarket. I recommend
Plum, oak and some spices notes, medium body, pleasant tannins, silky light finish! Very good quality!
A lesson in how important pairing is! I was about to give it a poor rating because of the overpowering tannins and unbalanced alcohol. Until I tasted it as an accompaniment to the mutton roll. Completely different! Subtle notes of cloves and roses appeared out of nowhere! Neither the tannin nor the alcohol seemed excessive anymore. A pleasure!
